Wrightsville Beach

Alrighty. I am back from a very tiring day. Well, we rented a Pontiac Gran Am for this weekend and we took it for a ride. Hah. I drove 2 hours along the freeway from the hotel to Wilmington. It was a very excruciating drive with some bumps along the way. Haven't really been driving in Singapore and it is a little different with the left hand drive on American roads. But it was cool driving at 120 km/h with close to no cars on the road.

We reached Wilmington for about close to 3 hours due to our lack of knowledge on the roads and I am officially now an expert in 3 point turns due to us having a hard time finding any parking lots. It was a little intimidating though with all the buff bods and bikini babes walking along the road and us little Asians strolling with some clothes. In the end, Xueli stripped to her bikini top and I took off my top just to blend in with the rest while suntanning. Haha. For dinner we went to this little sandwich bar and had some sandwiches and unknown carbonated beverages like Sundrop and Mr Pibb which tasted like Nin Jiom Pei Pa Kao. At night, we went to Harris Teter, Raleigh's version of I would say Liberty and it was just fun shopping for groceries.

All in all, I am really enjoying Raleigh cos of its country side, slow pace of life and friendly people.
